Three days of applied creativity in design, science, business, society, and the arts. Mostly free and open to the public. An invitation to everyone to find answers about the future of human ideas. Your own.
Encounters, attitudes, dissent, imagination, and the ability to develop new ideas together: Human creativity and the convergence of innovative perspectives are likely more important today than ever before. And that is exactly why the Fö N Festival exists.
Its third edition is not a traditional conference. Nor is it a hype-driven show about the future. It is a festival for creative exchange, lively debate, fresh perspectives, and genuine encounters—bringing together science, business, technology, design, and art.
For three days, St. Bartlmä in Innsbruck will become a venue for talks, concerts, workshops, and performances. And above all: for moments that will stay with you.
The Highlights
International voices. Unique experiences. And formats that don’t really fit into any category. And that’s just the way it should be.
From the festival opening featuring Scientist of the Year Francesca Ferlaino, astrophysicist, science journalist, and TV host Harald Lesch, and actor Rainer Bock, to designer Jian Ping He, Monobrother, Woschdog, workshops, and a Live-Music Sunrise Breakfast: The Fö N Festival combines intellectual space with a festival atmosphere, science with art, big questions with surprising encounters. – Not everything fits into a single category, but that’s exactly how it should be.

Free access. But not unlimited.
Thanks to the support of the Tyrolean creative industries, most of the programs at the Fö N Festival are free of charge. Some take place on the main stage, while other events are intentionally kept small, open, and intimate. – And one thing applies to all of them: seating is limited. That’s why it’s important to reserve your spot in advance.
A special place.
St. Bartlmä – where the past, the present, and brand-new ideas come together.
The former St. Bartlmä industrial site is one of Innsbruck’s most exciting cultural venues. For three days, its halls, courtyards, and interstitial spaces will become an open space for reflection and encounter, dedicated to creativity, culture, and questions about the future. – A place with nooks, crannies, and history – and precisely for that reason the perfect setting for a festival that aims to reveal new perspectives.

Here you’ll find the Fö N FAQ
What is the Fö N Festival?
FÖ N is a new kind of festival format that brings ideas for tomorrow to the stage. We have set ourselves the goal of presenting the vital topic of “creativity” as a matter of public concern—free from superficial clichés. We want to create a platform for creative, committed people who see the transformative power of better ideas as a vital anchor for the future. And we want to help initiate a “creative ecosystem” for a better future.
Who is behind Fö N?
The driving force behind the festival is “Fö N. Association for the Promotion of Creativity.” Founded by Tom Jank and Kurt Höretzeder, we welcome creative minds and collaborators from all over the world. The organization is in the hands of Daniel Dlouhy and his team. The festival has been proposed and commissioned as a catalyst for ideas and innovation by the Advertising and Marketing Communication Section of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce (WK Tirol) and the “kreativland.tirol” cluster within the Tyrol Investment Agency.
Who is the Fö N Festival for?
This festival is not just for “die-hard creatives,” but for anyone who sees this topic as forward-looking for their industry and business—from solo entrepreneurs and small business owners to industrialists. From carpenters and hoteliers to retailers, politicians, farmers, avalanche experts, and teachers—all the way to those attuned to the weather, master painters, logistics professionals, and—most of all—for you: because you, too, are convinced that we need different, better ideas. In your company, your workplace, near and far, on a large and small scale. And especially in Tyrol.

Where is the festival taking place?
Most of the festival’s events, taking place from September 24 to 26, will be held at the St. Bartlmä Creative and Cultural Complex in southeast Innsbruck, at the foot of the Bergisel. You can find the exact location here. – Events taking place at other venues are noted in the respective program listings.
How sustainable is the festival?
In keeping with a modern approach to event culture, the Fö N Creative Festival is also set to receive Green Event certification. We place particular emphasis on ecological, social, economic, and cultural sustainability and want to give everyone involved the opportunity to try out a sustainable lifestyle, find inspiration, and realize that climate protection and quality often go hand in hand. Our venues are easily accessible by public transportation; please make sure to travel to and from the event in an eco-friendly manner; we take care to offer only organic, seasonal, and regional food. The careful use of resources and support for the regional economy are very important to us.
Do I have to pay an admission fee?
The FÖ N Festival is open to everyone—most of our program is free to attend. However, advance registration is required for many events because space is limited. You can also register on-site, but there may be a wait. You can also register online for multiple program items at once.
Workshops, guided tours, special sessions, and concerts require a fee but are affordable. Ticket prices range from €5 to €25, depending on the format and scope.
